BRIDGEWATER CANAL

Notice is hereby given that work to install safety gates close to Lingards Bridge on the Leigh Branch of the Bridgewater Canal will be completed on Friday 27th February 2009.
The navigation will be available for use from Saturday 28th February 2009.
Work on the towpath side of the canal will continue for a short period and local diversions for pedestrians using the towpath may be necessary but should not affect the use of the canal by pleasure craft.
All pleasure craft passing the works must obey any signs or instructions given by the flagmen.
The Company apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the delay in completing the works.
